Who loves shopping and surprises? I know I sure do! That’s where Trunk Club fits in. I just recently heard about Trunk Club through an Instagram ad and decided to see what it was all about. Just like Stitch Fix, it’s an online personal stylist service that gets delivered to your door where you can pick and choose which items you want to keep and send back.
I started by completing a quiz to give Trunk Club a sense of my personal style as well as all of my sizes. Once I was done with the quiz and signed up, Trunk Club assigned me a personal stylist who I was able to chat with prior to my trunk shipping. I decided to send my stylist my Pinterest board to help give her a better idea of what my style is and what my dream closet looks like. After she asked me a couple more questions like what are 3 items I would like to receive in my trunk, I was given 48 hours to review the 10 items my stylist curated for me. I was able to see a picture of the clothing, the color it would be sent to me in, and the price. One thing I want to note here is, Trunk Club is on the pricier side as compared to Stitch Fix, but most of the brands I received are great quality like Paige Denim.
After I removed a few items (I either didn’t like them or owned something similar), my stylist added a few new items to my trunk before it shipped. I wasn’t able to see what the new items were prior to shipping, but this added to the element of surprise when I received my trunk.
Once my trunk arrived I was given 5 days to try everything on and decide which items I wanted to keep and if I wanted to return any. Since a couple items didn’t fit correctly and I owned some similar items already, I was able to put the clothes back in the original box with the prepaid UPS label that came in the box.
Finally, I marked on my account which items I was keeping and returning and provided feedback to my stylist. This helps my stylist know how to curate your next trunk and also charged my card on file for the items I decided to keep. Another thing to note is when my trunk shipped my card was charged a non-refundable $25 styling fee, but this went towards my total for the the items I decided to keep.
Overall I really enjoyed my experience with Trunk Club especially being able to speak to my stylist ahead of time and review my trunk before it shipped. In the end I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to keep and what I had to return since I couldn’t afford to keep all 10 items. All of the clothes were just so cute and perfect for Fall!
If you’re interested in trying Trunk Club, but have questions I’d be more than happy to help answer them.
Sincerely,
K
