This past weekend I had the honor of standing in my college best friend’s wedding as a bridesmaid. After a year of her planning and prepping I can’t believe it’s already come and gone, but the day couldn’t have gone more perfectly!
If you follow me on Instagram you will see I’ve started teasing out the bridesmaid details on the hair and makeup, but I wanted to do a full reveal of the dress on here before I share it on Instagram.
All the bridesmaids gathered at the bride’s suite at the Marriot Downtown on Market Street in Philadelphia to have breakfast, pop some bottles of champagne, and get our hair and makeup done. The bride bought the SOFTEST PJs from Eberjoy for us to get ready in. They are the Gisele Long Sleeve and Short PJ Set in Navy/Ivory. I’m serious when I say I cannot stop wearing them.
Hair & Makeup Details
The bride hired Gloss Studio LLC to come to the suite to do our hair and makeup. There was one girl doing hair, one doing makeup, and an assistant prepping everyone’s hair and face. I found a cute half up/half down curly hairstyle on Pinterest that I loved, and they totally outdid themselves. My hair turned out even better than expected and stayed in place all day/night. I was a bit nervous that the curls would have fallen come the cocktail hour at 5:30, but they remained intact! For the makeup I went with a golden, bronzed look with individual fake lashes. I figured this this would look best with my spray tan that I got from Vacay Beauty last Wednesday.
Dress Details
Being that this wedding was a fall wedding, my friend went with a beautiful burgundy color theme. We ended up with these very flattering High-Neck Bridesmaid Dress with Cascade Twist from David’s Bridal in the color Wine. I got mine in a size 4 which fit me perfectly. I just had to get it hemmed a few inches.
In the end, everything came together perfectly. All the bridesmaids looked beautiful in their dresses with their hair and makeup done and of course the bride looked STUNNING! It was truly a magical day. I’ve already seen a few sneak peaks of the professional photos and I cannot wait to see more! Between the venue, Union Trust Ballroom, the talented photographer, Laura Briggs, and all the other details that made this day possible, my friend had a picture perfect wedding with memories to last a lifetime.
Sincerely,
K
