I know you might think this is a strange post for quarantine, but I have a reason! We may not know when we will be able to go back into our offices to work, but just in case it’s some time this summer, I want to provide some outfit inspo. My office dress code is business casual Monday – Thursday, but then it’s “Smart” casual on Fridays (a.k.a. jean day). In the winter I tend to do a rotation of dress pants and dress tops. No cute dresses and tights since I hate being cold and have a 20 minute walk to work. But, once the warmer weather hits I do like to mix things up and dress more business chic. That’s why I tend to put more energy into my spring/summer work outfits.
Between all the cute dresses, skirts, and lightweight pants, I actually get excited to put a business chic outfit together. So for those of you proactively prepping their summer work wardrobe, I’ve rounded up a few affordable business chic outfit ideas you can recreate. Whether it’s buying new items online or being inspired to recreate these looks with items you have in your own closet, just have fun with it!
Since I tend to get the majority of my work clothes from H&M I’ve decided to only share H&M items in this post. They always do a great job at rotating new items in their stores and they have SOOOO many cute work clothes at affordable prices.

Looking for a fun way to style a dress for a business chic outfit, but not sure where to start? Throw a white blazer over a fitted lace dress and add some heeled sandals. If the dress is simple enough, throw a white belt around the waist to add a chic flair to your outfit.

Sometimes you might be looking for a looser fitting dress that’s a bit more comfy, yet work appropriate. All you have to do is find a cute midi sundress (I usually look for ones with some type of a sleeve) and pair it with sandals. To avoid being cold in the office, wrap a cute scarf around your shoulders. This will help keep you warm while maintaining your business chic style!

Nothing is more comfy than a cute flowy pair of pants that are work appropriate. Pair lightweight flowy pattern pants with a bodysuit, a t-shirt, or a tank top that can easily be tucked in. To help dress this up, thrown on a pair of pumps and a delicate necklace.

Another great pants option are paper bag pants. They are comfortable high-wasited pants that come with a matching fabric belt. Style these with a cute patterned top and pumps and you will be ready to tackle anything that comes your way!
